Public vote now open for BRIT Awards 2024

Fans are eligible to vote for who they think should win the ceremony’s five genre awards.

The public vote for the 2024 BRIT Awards is now open, allowing fans to voice their opinions on who they think should win in each of the five genre categories: Alternative/Rock Act; Dance Act; Hip Hop/Grime/Rap Act; Pop Act; and R&B Act.

Voting will take place via Instagram, and will close on Thursday 15th February at 6pm. Explaining how the voting process this year will work, the BRITs have said:

“Head to the official BRITs Instagram (@BRITs) to comment on the category Reel or the pinned post and include the unique hashtag for the artist (hashtags listed below). You can also make your own Reel and include in the caption @BRITs with the unique hashtag of the artist. You can perform each of these actions once for each artist, per category, per day and a comment counts for one vote and creating a Reel will count for five votes.”

So far, RAYE and Dua Lipa have been confirmed as performers for this year’s ceremony on Saturday 2nd March, which follows the recent unveiling of 2024’s full list of nominees. RAYE herself leads the charge with a whopping seven nominations - a new record for a single artist in any one year, after her album ‘My 21st Century Blues’ came out in February 2023 to widespread critical acclaim. She’s also just sold out her biggest headline show to date at London’s O2 Arena on 15th March.

Other artists up for multiple awards at this year’s ceremony are Dua Lipa, J Hus, Blur, Olivia Dean, Dave, Little Simz, Young Fathers, Mahalia and more, while DIY’s February cover stars The Last Dinner Party have already been named the winners of the 2024 Rising Star Award.
