Alphabeat return with first single in six years, ‘Shadows’

The Danes will follow with a new album in the autumn.

After a six-year break, Danish pop outfit Alphabeat have returned with a new single.

‘Shadows’ is the group’s first taster of a new album due in Autumn, which will be the follow-up to 2012’s ‘Express Non-Stop’.

“It has always been written in the stars that we should play together again and the desire has been there for a long time,” says Stine Bramsen. “There is a strong energy and chemistry which has been re-ignited with the track Shadows!”

Fellow band leader Anders SG adds of the location they recorded the track in: “When we meet there, it is just like standing in the old practice room back in our hometown again. Wildness, friendship and naturally something that involves a few beers. We have made most of our demos at the summer house and it is also here we ended up recording most of the new songs. I actually believe we have tracks on the way for two entire albums. Ha! But right now we are just crazy excited to be back.”
