Sony Music & Raw Power Management Team Up For Search & Destroy

Don Broco and While She Sleeps are the debut signings for the brand new label.

Sony Music and Raw Power Management have teamed up to create the new label Search And Destroy.

The new label has stated it is to ‘focus primarily on breaking new UK artists at home and abroad’, a point proven with their debut signings Don Broco and While She Sleeps.

Having recently toured alongside Four Year Strong, Don Broco are a four-piece from Bedford who will release their debut album on the 13th August, following on from a single release on the 20th May.

While She Sleeps have previously toured heavily alongside the likes of Silverstein, Your Demise and Bring Me The Horizon, with the Sheffield group finishing up a stint on this year’s Kerrang! Relentless Energy Drink Tour in February. Their debut album is expected to be release in the late summer of 2012.

On the initial signings of Search and Destroy, Raw Power CEO Craig Jennings made the following commentsL “Having grown up listening to so many great Sony artists, it’s a great privilege to be starting a joint venture with Nick Gatfield and his team that I look forward to lasting for many years to come. Some of my favourite artists and releases have been with Sony, including the Clash and Iggy and the Stooges, from whom we have borrowed the ‘Search and Destroy’ moniker from, it being the opening song on the classic ‘Raw Power’ album.’

‘Our first signings to Search & Destroy, ‘While She Sleeps’ and ‘Don Broco’ have both made amazing albums and we look forward to building both them across all platforms, and rising to the challenges that are so prevalent in the modern music industry, whilst continuing to take care of the fundamental artist development areas that are so important to rock acts.“

Don Broco will be touring the UK shortly as support to Futures, whilst While She Sleeps will be appearing at several festivals this summer, including this year’s Slam Dunk and Download events.
