Peace return with new album news
Rewind to nearly 10 (gulp) years ago, when B-Town was the indie capital of the country, and four thrift store-clad young men arrived to lead the new charge.
Following a series of teaser posts on social media, Peace have announced their return, and shared the news that fans will be given the chance to hear their upcoming fourth album before its official release later in the year.
The Worcester group will email a password to everybody who buys a ticket to one of their two shows in May and June, allowing them to listen to the new record ahead of its commercial release, scheduled for later in 2023.
Tickets for the shows go on sale at 10am this Wednesday (5th April), via the band’s website.
In addition, the group have announced the departure of two of their founding members: guitarist Douglas Castle and drummer Dominic Boyce. Writing on Twitter, the band said, “D&D have taken a different flight path and are soaring across different skies. But all with monstrously good vibes. So yes, we are a duo. We are not replacing them and Peace is entering a new era in an extremely meaningful way.”
“These shows mark the explosion of a newer universe,” the statement continues. “A 2nd big bang. More to follow.”
The new album will be Peace’s fourth in total, and their first since 2018’s ‘Kindness in the New Rock and Roll’.
See Peace live at the following dates:
MAY
31: Birmingham, The Mill
JUNE
01: London, The Colour Factory
