Olivia Rodrigo announces new album ‘GUTS’
The follow-up to her debut ‘SOUR’ will be released this September.
The rumours were true! Olivia Rodrigo will return with a brand new album later this year, when she released her second album ‘GUTS’ on 8th September.
Her new album will follow on from her 2021 debut ‘SOUR’, and is set to be previewed by her new track ‘vampire’, which will be released in just a few days’ time on 30th June.
“For me, this album is about growing pains and trying to figure out who I am at this point in my life,” Olivia Rodrigo has said, of her new record. “I feel like I grew 10 years between the ages of 18 and 20—it was such an intense period of awkwardness and change. I think that’s all just a natural part of growth, and hopefully the album reflects that.”
Olivia Rodrigo released ‘SOUR’ back in May 2021 and went on to win three GRAMMYs for Best New Artist, Best Pop Vocal Album and Best Pop Solo Performance. Revisit our review of her debut below.
