MGMT share new track ‘When You Die’

Back in October, MGMT returned with ‘Little Dark Age’, the title track from their upcoming new album.

Now they’re back with another cut from the follow-up to their 2013 self-titled album. ‘When You Die’ is a bit less dark and more psychedelic than ‘Little Dark Age’ that rolls along on slightly warped, vintage synths, almost languid vocals and rollicking marching beats. There’s even a bit of a laid-back guitar section and a fuzzed-out climax. The lyrics are a little bit more menacing though…

Early next year, MGMT are set to head out on a European tour. As well as stops in Berlin, Amsterdam, Brussels and Paris, they’ll also be playing at London’s Electric Brixton on 6th February.
