Los Campesinos! lead the first announcement for Wales Goes Pop! 2016
The line-up will also celebrate 20 years of indie label Fortuna Pop.
The first announcement for 2016’s Wales Goes Pop! festival in Cardiff is a real doozy.
Los Campesinos! are set to headline the fest in 2016, ten years after they first formed as students at Cardiff University. Also on the bill are a whole host of bands from indie super-label Fortuna Pop, as the label celebrates its 20th birthday next year. Darren Hayman, The Spook School, Mammoth Penguins and Chorusgirl will lead that charge, with a reformed The Loves and recent Welsh Music Prize 2015 winner Gwenno also performing at the bash. The full first line-up announcement is as follows:

Wales Goes Pop 2016 takes place across the Easter bank holiday weekend, from Friday 25th to Sunday 27th March, at Cardiff’s The Gate (which is a converted church, and very lovely it is too.) The rest of the line-up is set for release in January, but if the above is enough to tickle ya fancy, you can grab tickets from here.
