The Streets, Loyle Carner and STONE among new additions to Rock Werchter 2024 bill
The Belgian festival has today added 20 more names to its lineup…
If you’re in need of something to cure the winter blues, look no further: Belgium’s Rock Werchter has announced its next wave of artists for 2024.
Kicking things off in style, Thursday brings performances from indie legends The Streets, shoegaze pioneers Slowdive, and DIY Class of 2024 picks STONE. Friday is set to be a pop-punk affair with performances from Yungblud and Sum 41, alongside dEUS, Snow Patrol, and new additions Sleaford Mods.
Meanwhile on Saturday, eclecticism is the order of the day, with The Last Dinner Party, Róisín Murphy, Nothing But Thieves, Avril Lavigne, and Khruangbin gracing the festival’s stages. And if that’s not enough, Mercury-Prize winner Michael Kiwanuka and rock mainstays Royal Blood will be joined on Sunday by industry heavyweights like Sampha, Loyle Carner, and Zara Larsson.
These new names join three huge already-announced headliners, most recent of which are breakout Italian rockers Måneskin, who’ll bring their exuberant and engaging live show to the city’s Festivalpark on Friday 5th July. After finding huge success via Eurovision, the quartet released their fourth album ‘RUSH!’ earlier this year, and will be marking their return to Rock Werchter in style (having performed back in 2022, too).
Meanwhile, certified pop icon Dua Lipa is set to headline Saturday night, taking to the Belgian festival’s main stage on 6th July next year. Having just kick-started her anticipated next era with the release of new single ‘Houdini’, Dua will act as a precursor to the much-requested rock legends Foo Fighters, who’ll close the festival on Sunday night following the release of their acclaimed 11th album ‘But Here We Are’.
The festival’s 2024 iteration will take place from Thursday 4th July to Sunday 7th July. All tickets are on sale now from Rock Werchter’s website, with more lineup details to be announced shortly. You can find out more here, and read all about what went down at this year’s festival below.
