CHVRCHES’ Lauren Mayberry announces solo live shows
The Scottish singer has also promised she’ll be sharing music from her new solo project “soon”.
Lauren Mayberry of CHVRCHES has announced plans for her first ever solo live shows, with the promise of new music.
The singer of the Scottish trio - who just completed their final shows in support of their fourth album ‘Screen Violence’ - has taken to her social media channels today to confirm the news, promising she’ll be able “start sharing [music] soon”.
“For a long time, I couldn’t imagine ever doing anything outside of CHVRCHES,” she says, in the message. “But as I sail / stumble through this era of my life, it has started to feel like there are things I want to write and say and do that need to be done on my own. This solo project, I hope, will be my fun, freaky, sad, weird, joyful pop playground and I am so looking forward to sharing it with you.”
Her run of live shows will kick off in North America this September, with four shows taking place in the UK in early October. Check out her upcoming UK solo shows below - tickets go on sale from 24th July via her website.
